The OWL has the ability to hack computer consoles, alarms and other electronic equipment. When the on-screen OWL icon lights up, press the Q button to deploy the OWL to the target location, where it will execute an electrical blast, stunning anyone or anything in the immediate area. Swipe Z on the touch pad to set the OWL to stun mode. Deploying a shield drains the OWL of power. The shield can absorb significant damage before it deconstructs. This shield will block incoming enemy fire while permitting the Shadow Marshal to shoot through. When the terrain allows, the OWL will deploy a nano shield – activated by pressing the Q button. Swipe V on the touch pad to set the OWL to shield mode. When the on-screen OWL icon is highlighted, press the Q button and the OWL will shoot a line to a particular spot, allowing the Shadow Marshal to zipline downwards. Swipe X on the touch pad to set the OWL to zipline mode. It will continue to attack until given another order, or until it runs out of power.

Hotz has defended himself fiercely, fearing that the lawsuit against him will set dangerous legal precedents if successful. Sony is currently engaged with a lawsuit with PlayStation 3 cracker George 'Geohot' Hotz, who was ordered by a US court to turn his hard drives over to Sony for inspection recently. The leaked version of Killzone 3 will only operate on hacked PlayStation 3s, but apparently represents the full, final version of the game. Killzone 3 is the second triple A title to be leaked online far ahead of release this week, with the PC version of Crysis 2 getting leaked only a few days ago. A 'half-fat' version is available to download without 3D support too, apparently. We haven't downloaded the leaked version to check for ourselves, obviously, but the 41.5GB download is reportedly genuine and even includes Killzone 3's 3D mode. A final version of Sony's upcoming sci-fi shooter, Killzone 3, has been leaked online two weeks before the planned launch, according to reports.
